Local Bulk Beef

Fill your freezer with a quarter, half, or whole Christensen Ranch Beef. Our bulk beef is available in our Starter Package or customized to your specifications to fit your cooking preferences and fill your freezer with mouthwatering, flavor-packed, natural Red Angus beef.

No matter how you order your locally raised bulk beef, you’ll receive the maximum number of cuts for the size of beef you select. The quantity of each cut may vary due to the weight of the animal, the steak thickness you select, and the size of roast you select.

Our farm raised beef is processed at a local, inspected butcher shop where it is dry-aged for 14 to 21 days prior to processing. Dry-aging our beef allows the natural enzymes to tenderize the meat while dehydration concentrates the meat’s rich, natural flavor – giving you flavor-packed, tender steaks and mouthwatering roasts in every order of Christensen Ranch bulk beef.

Because it takes 22 months to raise our cattle from birth to finish, our bulk beef is not an on-demand product. We sell our natural Red Angus bulk beef six times per year – January, April, May, September, October, and December.

We sell our bulk beef on a first-come, first-served basis and encourage you to reserve your beef early so you don’t miss out. We require a small deposit to secure your beef.

What is Bulk Beef?

Purchasing beef in bulk, directly from ranchers like us, is the most economical way to purchase beef. Simply put, you get enough meat to fill your freezer and you pay less per pound than you pay at your local grocery store – you pay the same price per pound for Rib Eye steaks and Prime Rib roast as you do for Ground Beef. Our price per pound is calculated on the live weight of the animal. We sell our natural Red Angus bulk beef in three sizes: quarter beef, half beef, or whole beef.

The prices below are estimates based on average-sized beef. Your cost may vary based on the weight of your beef.

  • Quarter Beef Average Price Range: $620 – $800
  • Half Beef Average Price Range: $1,225 – $1,600
  • Whole Beef Average Price Range: $2,450 – $3,200

How to Order Christensen Ranch Beef

When you purchase Christensen Ranch Beef, you can purchase one of our three package options or customize your cuts of meat. If this is your first time buying beef in bulk, we recommend ordering our Starter, Griller, or Roaster package; each bulk beef package is available in quarter, half, and whole beef sizes.

We require a non-refundable deposit to secure your order; the deposit amount varies based on the size of beef you order.

If you are already a customer, just click on the link below to place your next bulk beef order. We’ll contact you to confirm your order, your cuts of beef, and provide you with your pick-up date once we have received your completed order form and deposit.

Paying for Your Bulk Beef

When you purchase bulk beef, you will have two costs: the beef and the processing. Payment for your beef is due to Christensen Ranch and we require a small deposit to secure your beef at the time of order. Your final payment for your beef is determined by the weight of your beef and will be determined the day your beef is taken to the butcher.

Payment for processing your bulk beef is a separate cost and is due to our local butcher, Stagecoach Meat Company, at the time of pick-up. Your beef will not be released without full payment for both beef and processing.

Bringing Your Beef Home

Because you’ll receive your entire order of beef at one time, it’s important to make sure you have enough freezer space to accommodate your order. Because all of our Christensen Ranch Beef comes frozen, you’ll also have to plan ahead for meals to account for defrosting time. Our beef can remain delicious for up to one year when kept frozen.
