Christensen Ranch Beef Now Available at Lulu’s Farm in Brighton, Colorado
We are excited to announce that our naturally raised, naturally delicious Red Angus beef raised right just 80 miles north east of Denver is now available at Lulu’s Farm in Brighton, Colorado. Lulu’s Farm, in business for more than 35 years, is a specialty produce market filled with locally grown produce, one-of-a-kind cooking products, custom seasonings and spice mixtures, and so much more.
Because it takes 22 months to raise our cattle from birth to finish, we will provide seasonal cuts of our dry aged, hand-trimmed to Lulu’s Farm including steaks, roasts, ribs, fajita meat, ground beef patties, and ground beef.
“Our customers want to know where their food comes from which is why partnering with Christensen Ranch is such a great fit for us,” says Aeron Calkins, owner of Lulu’s Farm. “Providing our customers with antibiotic and growth hormone free beef raised humanely is important to us; having that beef raised right here in Colorado by fourth-generation ranchers is something we can feel especially good about.”
All of the beef produced on our ranch is:
- Antibiotic free
- Growth hormone free
- Dry aged for up to 21 days
- Sourced from cattle raised on our ranch
- Pasture-raised and corn-finished in our own feedlot
- Humanely raised via the Global Animal Partnership 5-Step® Animal Welfare Rating Program and the Meyer Humanely Handled Standards
“Our partnership with Lulu’s Farm fits perfectly with our goal of bringing transparency, from pasture to plate,” says Kathy Wood, co-owner of Christensen Ranch. “We’re reconnecting consumers with their food supply chain, and shortening that chain, to make food a more personal commodity. We think it’s important to know your rancher and understand where and how your beef was raised and we’re happy to offer that personal connection to Lulu’s discerning customers.”
