We believe in transparency, from pasture to plate™. When you buy beef online, we believe you should know where your beef was born, how it was raised, and where it was harvested.

We’ve raised Red Angus on our family ranch more than four generations. Our cattle roam the expansive Eastern Colorado plains for nearly one year after calving to ensure they have enough time to grow, naturally. We do not feed antibiotics and we don’t use growth hormones in our cattle. We are committed to following humane handling practices for our herd every step of the way, from calving to processing.

When you buy beef online, we hand-select your cuts of naturally raised beef using only animals raised on our ranch; we then package your cuts and ship it right to your door. All beef included in our online beef collections is processed at our USDA inspected butcher in Sterling, CO.

When you buy beef online, we only ship on Tuesday of each week to ensure your Christensen Ranch beef is fresh upon arrival; orders must be placed by midnight Sunday to ship in the current week. UPS does not ship on holidays so shipping dates for orders placed near a holiday may be adjusted to fit UPS’s delivery schedule. Free Shipping is available for all orders shipping to Colorado addresses;  orders shipping to all other locations are sent via UPS 3 Day Select.

Dry Aged Beef

Christensen Ranch naturally raised Red Angus dry aged beef offers a depth of flavor you won’t find in cuts from your local supermarket. Our beef is dry aged for 14-21 days in a climate-controlled refrigerated room prior to processing. Dry aging our beef allows the natural enzymes to tenderize the meat while dehydration concentrates the meats’ rich, natural flavor so you get flavor-packed, melt-in-your-mouth tender cuts of beef in every hand-curated collection of Christensen Ranch beef.

Antibiotic stewardship is something we take very seriously. Not only are we committed to protecting the health of our animals, we’re committed to protecting the health of your family. Even though supplemental growth hormones in cattle have been shown to pose no risk to human health, we prefer to let nature run its course when it comes to delivering superior beef.
