It’s Bobstock weekend in Ft. Morgan and the Christ It’s Bobstock weekend in Ft. Morgan and the Christensen Ranch crew is having a great time! Our CR koozies are a fan favorite, and looks good around the beer garden. Aside from having a fun evening listening to good music, we love being able to share our business with our community!

Kathy had a busy day picking up beef from 307 Meat Kathy had a busy day picking up beef from 307 Meat Company. Even though it isn't a short drive to Laramie from the ranch, the drive is beautiful and worth the day on the road. Kathy makes it a quick trip, making sure the beef doesn't start thawing before we can get it to the freezer. Thankfully she made it back quick and we got her unloaded before the rain comes rolling in! 🌧

The kids spent a weekend in early June enjoying on The kids spent a weekend in early June enjoying one of our favorite summer pastimes-floating the ditch! It was the first float of the year, and everyone is already looking forward to doing it again.
Mother Nature decided to keep things interesting and threw them a curveball with a fast-moving windstorm. The crew had to park the tubes and climb out of the ditch for about 30 minutes, but thankfully the storm passed quickly and they were able to continue on to their destination.

The campers were waiting at the finish line, where they grilled some grub, enjoyed a night of stargazing, games and camped along the ditch. It doesn't get much better than good company, a summer evening under the stars, and a little adventure along the way. 🌟🍔

The bulls were especially intrigued by the visitors and spent plenty of time checking out the campers and their floating contraptions!

Great simple fun and memories in the making.

Eric has been busy in the fields for the last couple of weeks fixing one sprinkler after another. Like he says though, fixing a sprinkler is still less work that having to flood irrigate the fields!

When you're out in the middle of the pasture, opti When you're out in the middle of the pasture, options tend to be limited on how we can treat sick cows or calves. The easiest and least stressful option tends to be roping and tying the calves down, as it makes it so we can get their temperature and see what they have going on so we can best determine what kind of care they need. The rest of the herd tends to stick around to see what is going on, and as always, Gerald is front and center!

What a week spent in Amarillo for the Christensen What a week spent in Amarillo for the Christensen Ranch crew last week! 🥇

Kathy, Jeff, Kirsten and Helen all headed south for the AQHA VRH World Championships and came home with some amazing accomplishments and gratitude for getting to swing a leg over some good horses.

Helen secured a Top 15 finish in the Limited Amateur division in a TOUGH group of horses, as well as a Top 10 placing in the Limited Amateur Ranch Confirmation. She was also the 2026 Bronze Champion in the L1 Amateur Boxing! What an accomplishment for a home raised and trained mare. Helen and Willow make quite the team!

Kathy had a successful week of her own, having only had her mare Jess for a little over a year and for the first time she has shown at the National level in the Rookie Amateur division! Not only did she place in the top half of her class in a couple of her classes, but there was a lot of progress made at this show that will continue to help them grow!

Kirsten and Pebbles had a strong debut at the National level for their first trip out of Colorado! Despite Pebbles being on the younger side, Kirsten placed in the Top 10 in both her Limited Amateur Ranch Riding and Limited Amateur Ranch Cow Work and was in the Top 20 in two of her other classes!

The most exciting news yet is one we can't quite claim as our own, but one we have to brag on! Ty Sneddon, one of our Morgan County Ranch Horse members and good family friends, KILLED it last week in Amarillo, bringing home the Limited Youth World Champion title on his gelding Spook! What a well deserved win for this hard working young man! 🏆

Jeff was a great help to everyone showing, not only helping keep us all in line, but for giving us advice and some much needed pep talks before walking in the pen! He took a horse down to help each of us turn back in our cutting classes and it was much appreciated! Huge thanks to Eric, Berrie and Connor for holding the fort down while we were all gone and keeping things running smoothly!

Eric has a tradition of buying Jodi cows for Valen Eric has a tradition of buying Jodi cows for Valentine's Day. Thankfully, she's perfectly happy with that gift-but she does have one request: they must have names and special ear tags with those names. After all, they're not just numbers!
Gurty was one of those special Valentine's heifers, alongside Rosie and Freckles. Around here, diamonds are NOT a girl's best friend! 💎🌹

Boov is part of Tyler and Allie's herd and holds a special place in their hearts. She was one of three heifers born from one of their very first cows, Clover. Clover herself, was one of the orphan calves they bottle-fed and later purchased from the ranch. It's pretty neat to see the next generation carrying on the story.

Boov was especially interested in photo day and seemed determined to make sure her picture was taken. She kept finding her way to the camera, striking a pose like she knew she was part of something special! 📷

Sometimes the best gifts aren't found in a store-they're out in the pasture.

Around here, when we get several days of heavy rai Around here, when we get several days of heavy rain, Wildcat Creek has a habit of reminding us who's really in charge. The rushing water often washes out sections of fence, leaving plenty of repairs once the weather clears.

Eric spent the better part of the morning last week repairing the damage. This isn't a place you can simply drive a pickup to-it's rough, steep country that's only accessible by horseback or four-wheeler. Since he needed to haul fencing supplies, the ATV was the obvious choice.

After a long morning of rebuilding fence, the adventure wasn't quite over. On his ride back home, Eric found himself chasing a badger down the trail-yes, on the four-wheeler! Just another day on the ranch, where you never know what the next turn is going to bring.

Ranch life definitely keeps us on our toes, and after a week of rain, there's always a story waiting to be told.

We are thankful for everything she does for us and for always being up for whatever adventure Eric drags her on around the ranch. She might not have signed up for all the wild adventures that ranch life has to offer, but she sure does a good job of rolling with the punches. Wishing her a day filled with love, laughter, and all her favorite things!

We had an overnight shower last week before our st We had an overnight shower last week before our stretch of severe weather. It must have rained hard for a short amount of time because it left this funky texture across the yard. Everywhere you walked or drove had a satisfying crunch underfoot, almost resembling those notorious popcorn ceilings from years gone by!

Nature always has a way of keeping things interesting. We're thankful for every bit of moisture we receive-even if all it does is settle the dust for a few hours. Every drop counts out here on the ranch. 🌧️🌾

This past week's wild weather has hit so many in M This past week's wild weather has hit so many in Morgan County hard. While we experienced hail on a couple of different nights, none of it was larger than quarter-sized, and thankfully the damage here was limited.

We know many of our neighbors in Wiggins and Fort Morgan weren't as fortunate and have experienced devastating damage. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.

It was a very scary week, holding our breath each afternoon as the skies darkened and we watched the storms roll in. We feel incredibly grateful and blessed.

Kelsey captured some amazing photos of a supercell on one of those anxious afternoons-a reminder of the power and unpredictability of Mother Nature.

💙 We continue to pray for safety, healing, and strength for everyone as they recover.
